I Think It's Time To Upgrade...

For some odd reason or another people think you have to have a lot of money to be in style, but I’m here to tell you that’s totally not true! As a self-proclaimed Diva/Recessionista (Recessionista: adjective; Fashionista trying to make it in the midst of this awful recession) I am telling you that you can upgrade your style by spending little or no money.

The first step to upgrading your style is to learn how to style your own hair and apply your own make up. Changing your hair and make up can work wonders on your new look and it doesn’t cost much because most of us have the supplies we need right under our bathroom sink. So take a minute and step out on a limb when it comes to hair and make up.

The second step to upgrading your style is to define YOUR personal style based on YOUR needs. For example, if you work in a club environment, your wardrobe would be totally different than the wardrobe of a person that works in an office environment. Bottom line, select clothes that are conducive to your life style.

The third step to upgrading your style is to know what clothing looks best on you. It doesn’t matter how big or small you are, there are clothes out there designed to fit your body type. However, just because they make it in your size (big or small) does not mean you have to buy it. The key thing to remember is that your clothing needs to be respectful to you, your body and others around you.

The fourth step to upgrading your style is to accessorize, ACCESSORIZE, ACCESSORIZE! Accessories can change your look almost as drastically as changing your hair and make up. Try accessories such as sunglasses, scarves, colorful heels, sandals, and flip flops, necklaces, and bracelets. If you know how to use these accessories correctly you will be all glammed out and feeling new!

Ciao!
