There's Enough Time...

I NEVER leave my house without my face on. Even if it's freezing cold, snowing and all of Wichita, KS (that's where I live) is looking like bare face H.A.M.s I STILL have my face on. If I'm running late, I still make time to put my face on. Bottom line,  no matter what I put my face on and you can too with the FIVE MINUTE FACE.

Before you start your five minute face make sure you have the following supplies: Concealer, pressed or loose powder, Eyeliner, and a lip color (gloss or stick)

First, start with a 'fresh' palette. Moisturize your face with an oil free moisturizer, then cover up any blemishes or uneven skin color areas with concealer. Once you've concealed the blemishes and uneven areas set the concealer with powder.

Second, take a blush brush and dust a little blush on your cheeks. You can also dab a little on your chin and forehead to achieve a youthful glow. If you're going for a more 'natural' look, I prefer to use a bronzer. My favorite bronzer right now is Nicka bronzer. Nicka bronzer can be found at Sam's Beauty Supply for $4.99 (can't beat that price?!) in Wichita, KS. I'm certain you can find Nicka bronzer at your local beauty supply for the same low price or lower.

Third, take your eyeliner and line the outer part of your eyes. You don't have to do the whole eye if you don't feel like it. Using the liner is just an opportunity to define your eye's natural shape.

Fourth, use a lash curler to curl your lashes. Hold curler down on your lash for about ten seconds to get the maximum curl, then brush with about three coats of mascara. Don't forget to let mascara dry in between coat applications. I'd hate for you to have clumpy lashes.

Finally, add some shine to those lips by using a lip gloss. If you're feeling real fancy use your favorite lipstick and then add a shiny gloss with your favorite lip gloss. Once you finish that step, out the door you go to conquer the world!

While this is minimal make-up, make a huge difference to your face. So go ahead and be the fun, fearless, and fabulous diva you are and rock that five minute face taught especially to you and for you by the Bouje Beauty herself!

Gettin WEDGE-Y Wit It...

It's February and I've been beefing up on my Spring/Summer wardrobe. This season I'm going to follow some of the trends that are coming hot off the runways, but this season I'm really focusing on an effortlessly cool look. So expect me to see me in lots of basic colors, cottons, denims, loaded down with FABULOUS accessories from Pearlie B's Lounge and Boutique, and wedge heeled sandals (one of the hottest looks of the season). Wedges are just about everywhere; from Wal-Mart to Neiman's to the runways of Paris you will see diva fashionistas rockin wedges of all styles and colors. Black, brown, suede, nude, tan, multi-colored, or embellished...it doesn't really matter!

The key thing to remember when selecting your wedges is to select a pair YOU like and that are comfortable. So make sure you try em on and walk it on out to make sure they're the right fit for YOU. Be adventurous and pair them with jeans, a dress, a skirt or even shorts.

One other thing my fellow wedge wearing diva fashionistas must remember is that when selecting your wedges make sure the platform is not too high. If the platform is too high the shoes will be uncomfortable and draw NEGATIVE attention (diva fashionistas do not like NEGATIVE attention); thus making you look like a H.A.M (Hot Ass Mess for those of you that didn't know) and that's the last thing  you want to look like in 2011.

Good luck on your wedge search, I've already got mine for the season.

Ciao!
