Looking Good For Less...

Hey Lovies! Whoever said you have to pay a lot to look good has it all wrong! As you guys know I'm not only a fashionista, I'm a frugalista and as  frugalista I feel it is my responsibility to let you guys know about great fashion finds for less!  So with that being said, it is time for us to check out Olivia Munn in this AWESOME K-Mart dress by Attention. This dress cost less than $18.00?! (Close your mouth...yes, I said a whopping $18.00...LOL) Yes, people it is possible to look GREAT for less...I'm a pretty regular K-Mart shopper, so I wasn't shocked that the dress was 1. Cute and 2. Cheap...after all, K-Mart and Sears are cousins, so I knew the price for this dress was going to be low and the look was going to be cute.

If I've told y'all before, 'Don't sleep on the blue light special!' One day y'all are gonna learn and you're going to be able to rock out awesome looks for minimal price!

Ciao lovies and see ya at the TOP!

P.S. If you don't have a K-Mart in your city, you can visit www.kmart.com to get your proper shop on! Cheahhhhh!!!

Throwback Thursday: Blue Magic

Hey Lovies! It's Throwback Thursday, AGAIN! I'm kinda starting to like these Thursday posts, because I'm finding so many cool things. This week's Throwback Thursday is dedicated to Blue Magic hair grease. Yup, I said it, BLUE MAGIC! Blue Magic was the 'glue' that held every little black girls hair together for at least one week. I remember my mom combing my hair on Sundays and telling me that this do better last me through at least Wednesday, do not let anyone touch my hair and I better not get sand in my hair from the playground or else I was gonna get a whoopin! I hated getting my hair combed, but the end product always made me happy! I guess I've always been a glamour puss! :)

Check out this great piece of art I found on a friend's FB page. I wish I knew the artist's name, because I'd love to give him or her credit for this AWESOME work...it brings back so many memories. Annnnnddd speaking of memories, check out a throwback pic of yours truly. That Blue Magic was REALLY holdin' my do together!

Bad Brotha On The Blog...

Hey Lovies! I was listening to iHeart Radio as I was writing this post and Meek Mills' song  "Amen" featuring Drake came on the song and I thought it was only appropriate that I posted a photo of a bad, dapper, brotha on the blog. I really don't need to type anymore words...his looks, his style, his demeanor and as much as I hate this word I'll go ahead and use it...his SWAG speaks for itself...

Ciao lovies and see ya at the TOP!

*Meek Mills voice* 'It's a bad brotha on the blog, AMEN! A real brotha on the blog, AMEN!' *hehehe...I'm so funny!*

Throwback Thursday: Shoes We LOVED, But Now we HATE...

NOTE: This was supposed to post yesterday, but my computer was acting crazy...imagine that?! Anyway, enjoy the post lovies, there's a real treat at the end! :)

It's Throwback Thursday...it's a day that most of us dread if we have an annoying (using that word as a term of endearment) little sister who finds it amusing to dig through old pictures around the house and embarrass the hell out of us by revealing our throwback style or lack thereof. I have a little sister and boy has she exposed my lack of fashion to the world via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

So in the spirit of Throwback Thursday, I think I'll do a little sharing of fashion from the past. Today's blast from the past is shoes that we LOVED back in the gap, but when we see them now we're like, 'WTH was I thinking when I got those?!' I'll also be sharing some throwback pics of myself, my mom, brother, and my dad. Sit back, relax, and enjoy awful photos of shoes we used to LOVE and a collection of dreadfully awesome photos of my family!

Ciao lovies and see ya at the TOP!

From Tickling Piano Keys to Designing Sneakers...

A. Keys has switched from tickling the ivory keys (man, I love hearing that girl play the piano...she is Uhh-May-ZING!) to scribbling on sneakers for fashion's sake. When I first heard about the collaboration with Reebok I was a little skeptical given her questionable fashion choices of the past, but I think it's fair to say this first line of kicks is alright by me.

In this collection, Keys has put her on spin on the 5411 (named for its low, low price of $54.11), the Freestyle Double Bubble, the Classic Nylon Slim, and the Princess. I'm pretty excited about seeing these shoes in real life. Between going to JC Penney to sift through the Cosmopolitan collection and going to Foot Action or wherever to check out this shoe collection, it appears as though I have a busy weekend ahead.

So ummm, lovies, *singing in my A. Keys voice* "I was wondering maybe, if you'd rock these kicks baby?" I think it's fair to say I'm IN with TWO hands!

Hello Cosmopolitan, Have You Met JC Penney?

Everyone that knows me knows that I love me some Cosmo magazine. Cosmo magazine is my go to for pretty much everything...a little gossip, a little health, relationship advice, and OF COURSE FASHION!

Everyone also knows that I love me some JC Penney. I've been a regular at JC Penney since I was about 17 and haven't stopped and I highly doubt I will stop. For a long time, people used to sleep on JC Penney, but I never have...I've always been able to find great pieces that are not only fashionable, but AFFORDABLE which is most important to me! (Did I ever tell y'all I'm not only a Fashionista, I'm a Frugalista?) So let's just say I was more than excited to learn that one of my favorite magazines and one of my favorite department stores decided to collaborate and come out with a fashion line.

Cosmopolitan, the world's largest selling women's magazine, has recently partnered with JC Penney and created a fashion line exclusively for the retail giant. The collection will offer lingerie ($7-$25), sleepwear ($10-$20), handbags ($30-$65) and footwear ($30-$95) and it's available in 600 stores nationwide and on jcp.com.

Joanna Coles, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine was quoted saying, "We are thrilled to bring our magazine to life through this collaboration with J.C. Penney." If I had an opportunity to speak directly to Joanna I'd say, "Girl! I'm excited too!" I can't wait to visit my local J.C. Penney to check out the collection. In the mean time, lovies, go ahead and check out a few photos from the collection shown below.

Food For Thought: Success

Yikes, Lovies! It's the fifth day of September and I haven't blessed your email inboxes or the web with ANYTHING! Shame on me! I hope you all had a GREAT holiday weekend, I know I did. I spent the weekend 'chillaxin' (that's Chillin + Relaxin = chillaxin) on my couch, working on some projects for a GREAT event I have coming up with some of my Wichita gal pals, thinking of outfits to put together for my new Twitter friend @MyDearElle's Blogger Icon Series (it's going to be FIRE y'all), and a ton of other things that I can't seem to remember (I guess that means I had a lot of fun or I slept a lot...I think it's a combo of the two)!

Anyway lovies, I'm in the process of putting together some great posts and I'm certain you'll enjoy EVERY single one. I will be focusing on Fall Fashion, Fashion Week events,  Make-up Tips, Celebrity interviews (yes, y'all I'm coming up in the world!) and a host of other fun and exciting things! So as I work on these projects, I need y'all to bear with me. I'm in the process of drawing my road map to the TOP! Check out this picture of 'Success'...it's not as simple as it seems! :)

Ciao lovies and see ya at the TOP!
