Quick Summer Make-Up...

I think I may have shared this with you lovies in a previous post, but I thought it'd be worth my while to share it again. I mean, you can NEVER have too many fashion and beauty reminders, right? So yeah, here's a make-up quickie you'll definitely want to try.

It's pretty warm out, or at least it is where I live and if there's one thing I don't really care to do is where make-up in the heat of the day. Unfortunately, as a freelance make-up artist I can't run around town looking like who did what and why so I have to come up with some quick fixes. My latest quick fix has been wearing minimal foundation and doing one sweep of color on my eyes, checks and lips. The easiest and lightest way to get this done is to use colored eyeliner on your eyes. One sweep of color will work wonders! Take a look at the trend TONS of celebrities are rocking this summer. It's not hard, it's easy to do...so don't be scurrrrreeeeddd...give it a whirl. I promise you'll be glad you did.

Nia Long with a sweep of purple on the lower lashline...the purple really brings out her brown eyes and I LOVE the nude lips. Leona Lewis is rocking a green liner on her lower lashline with a fierce pink lip...LOVES IT!

My girl Solange...Solo-Star...Fashionista...This H-Town beauty is rocking a green liner on the lower lashline and a golden yellow color on the inner corners of her eye...LOVE this look and it's soooo EASY!

Garcelle has opted to use black liner on the tops and bottom of eyes and to give a more dramatic effect it appears as though she's smudged it for a Imperfect Perfect look. LOVES IT!



My Girl Jill, Love the blue/green liner on the lower lashline with a light smoky touch in the corner. As far as I'm concerned Ms. Scott can do no wrong. PS: Check out that flawless skin...Can we say, JELLY?! BTW, Jelly is short for JEALOUS...for those of you that might not have known. :)



WISH LIST: Vintage Mercedes...

IDK why I've been obsessed with cars as of late, but I kind of have. I guess you can kind of say cars and fashion kinda go hand in hand...If you have on a BOMB outfit, then it's only right for you to have a FLY ride, right? Anyway, the way I've been obsessing over cars lately you'd think I was a middle aged man trying to live out some mid-life crisis fantasy of purchasing a 'cool' car to impress young people. I think my obsession kinda started when my dad got his 2010 Camaro, then his 2011 Camaro, my mom got a sleek Jaguar and an old friend recently purchased his dream car, a 2012 BMW M3.

I am totally happy with my Pontiac G6 (don't get it twisted, friends...my car is cute!), but it's something about these luxury cars that gets me going. One of these days, I'm going to break down and get myself a luxury car...hopefully, when I get my luxury car I will be at a point in my life where I don't have to sacrifice my shopping habit to pay for my car. I mean, come on...what do I look like riding in a luxury car, but looking like a total Fashion Bust Down?!

So yeah, lovies...my latest obsession was discovered on Pintrest and it is a vintage Mercedes 300 SL...Talk about car-gasm, if there's even such a thing! Either way, I love this car and I can't wait until it's MY turn to ride in a luxury car that's not my mama's...LOL!

Fast Cars and Fashion...

Everybody knows (in my Phaedra of RHOA voice) that I absolutely LOVE Bentleys and one day I will have a Bentley. Now I don't know if I will get the mirror paint like the one shown below, but I will have a Bentley. Take a peek at this beauty and drool. Not sure if I'm early, on time or late with this latest fashion discovery. No matter what I am, I am elated to see this collaboration. As always, Nike is ALWAYS up to something and this time they have managed to steal my heart once again. Lovies, check out this FABULOUS Tiffany inspired tennis shoe by Nike. As soon as I figure out what it will take to get a pair of these kicks, trust and believe I will have a pair. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes and having a pair is a MUST.

NBA Finals 2012: Sager Suits

 Well, sports and fashion fans, today marks Game 1 of the NBA Finals with the Oklahoma City Thunder (#THUNDERUP) taking on the Miami Heat in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am very excited about the game, but I'm more excited to see what Craig Sager, NBA Correspondent and Fashionisto, has in store for us when it comes to his outrageous suits. Craig is a great reporter and a huge fashion risk taker and that's why I've grown to love him and his fashion sense or lack of, depending on the day. Pretty Girls Rock J's Too...

Quite frequently I have to remind people to not let the make-up, wigs, weaves, accessories, sky-high heels, and handbags fool you. I can talk to you about any sport, any current event and I can even take you to the hole on the basketball court...If I can do all those things, what wouldn't make you think I can't rock J's with the best of em?! It's Getting PINTRESTING Around Here...

Y'all know I like to get just as crafty as the next person, so it's only fair to say Pintrest is my absolute obsession as of late.
