If You Don't Know, Now You Know...

Hey Lovies!

I absolutely LOVE sharing beauty tips and tricks you may not know about. I've been doing some reading and digging and I've uncovered a lot of great tips and tricks for you to try on yourself and share with others. Check em out and let me know how they work for you.

Enjoy and see you at the TOP, lovies!

Ciao! xoxo

Tip 1: Oooohhhhh Honey, Honey...did you know honey can soothe that flat iron or curling iron burn? Applying a dab of honey with a cold compress can soothe the burn because honey has anti-inflammatory properties that calm the injury before discoloration sets in.

Tip 2: Don't throw away your last little bit of lipstick! Scoop out the lipstick remains, put it into a travel sized plastic case, add a little shea butter and BAM! You have a tinted lip balm.

Tip 3: Change your bed linens weekly, especially your pillowcase. Changing your pillow cases weekly limits the amount of oil that is transferred from your hair to your face which can cause major break outs.

Tip 4: Rich, dark nail polishes are all the rage, but the stains left behind are NOT the business. To get your nails back to their normal color, try soaking your nails in denture cleaner to lift the stains left behind from the dark hued nail polishes we all love to wear!

Tip 5: Want baby soft skin? If you said YES (I hope you said yes), try making your own concoction by  taking a mix of sea salt, dry milk and baking soda and adding it to you bath water. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

Tip 6: While coco butter has been used for generations and generations to 'even' out skin tone, there is not scientific proof that it actually evens out the skin. If you like cocoa butter, keep using it just because it makes your skin silky soft. I LOVE my Queen Helene Cocoa Butter!

Tip 7: Got dry skin or eczema? Soothe both conditions by taking a bath using cold pressed castor and olive oil.

Tip 8: Need a new lip color? Try mixing eyeshadow OR blush with lip gloss.

Tip 9: Going for a more natural look? Dip your sponge in water prior to applying foundation. The sponge will soak up the water and be too full to absorb excess foundation.

Tip 10: Wrinkle prevention? Got it right here! When applying moisturizer ALWAYS apply in an upward motion.
