Good Morning Lovies!

Yesterday was a rough day for Bostonians, Americans and all of our international guests that came to participate in the marathon. The images shown on the news and the web brought back so many painful memories of September 2011. Although our nation suffered another tragic loss, I took great pleasure in watching the people come together as one to care for those that were injured, scared, and lost. Seeing those random acts of kindness displayed on my TV not only warmed my heart, it made me proud to be an American. Although we, the United States, have our dysfunctional moments as a country, we really know how to come together during adverse times. Race, religion, sexual preference, and political beliefs no longer matter. We come together as one and help our brothers and sisters. Today lovies, I ask that you take a minute and say a little prayer for our country, the Bostonians, our international guests, our political leaders, law enforcement agencies, and EVEN the sick, demented person who carried out this senseless act of violence. God bless you all and most importantly, God bless the United States of America!

For The Fellas: Keep It Classy...

Hey Fellas!

As much as you may want to deny it, you can't help but LOVE JT and his oh-so dapper style. He's come a long way from his 'N Sync days (I mean, really...the Jheri Curl? Not so cool JT). Long gone are the days of the Jheri Curl, metallic pants, and other random 'fashion' (using that term loosely) pairings. JT is coming at us grown man style and he even let us know with his chart topping hit, 'Suit and Tie' featuring none other than Jay-Z! You fellas could learn a thing or two from Mr. Timberlake...ain't nothing wrong with rockin a suit and tie every once in a while.

Take a peek at JT's style over the years and really appreciate where he came from (and pray that he doesn't revert back to The Curl and those crazy clothes) to where he is now. He's definitely had a Drake moment when it comes to his fashion choices...he started from the bottom now he here!

It's been a while since I've posted anything...as always I apologize for the hiatus. As always, things are a zoo in my world, but I like it that way.

As you all know, I like to do a little sumn...sumn for the fellas every once in a while because although they'd never admit it publicly, I know they enjoy fashion just as much as the ladies! So in the spirit of keeping my guys up to date on what's going on in the fashion world and offering a little inspiration, I've dedicated this entire week to the fellas! Welcome To The Emerald City...

Hey Lovies! As you all know I've lived in Wichita for six years as of March 13, 2013 and while a lot of people like to talk to me about The Wizard of Oz and call my sweet little Bella, Toto, I really haven't given The Emerald City too much thought untilllllllll I watched the color, Emerald Green, rip the runways during fashion week. Almost every designer incorporated some kind of green into their collection this eyar, so much that I think it's fair to say GREEN may be the new BLACK!

I've always been a fan of the color green, but this season I'm loving it even more! Take a look at the excerpt from OK! Magazine and decide if green will be your go to color this season. I know it's mine and yes, I GOT GREEN in my closet! :)

Welp Lovies, my favorite hometown girl has done it again. It is official and confirmed, Beyonce Gisele Knowles Carter, has partnered with H&M for the Swedish company's summer collection.The collection will feature styles inspired by the Queen's individual style and a brand representative informed the public that the songstress added her personal input to many of the pieces seen in the collection.

Mrs. Carter is really doing her thang and showing that EVERYTHING that's from TEXAS is BETTER! Man, I LOVE my state, my hometown girl...whew! I'm excited...y'all should be too!

Busy As A Bee...

Once again I've been MIA for quite some time...did y'all miss me?! You better say YES! Anyway, I've been as busy as a bee in the summer heat (depsite the fact it's freezing cold here)! In my absence I've been working on TONS of projects and I can't wait to give you all the full details of each one. I'd love to put it all out there, but I can't just yet. However, I can give y'all a sneek peak of some of my latest projects. As soon as I get permission and the rest of the images to share the good news I definitely will. Okay, so it may be a little strange that I just 'sang' Happy Birthday to myself, but who cares! I'm happy and blessed to say that I have seen another year of life. Thank you to all of my friends, family members, blog followers, and supporters for allowing me to do what I LOVE...bring fashion to the masses in a fun and whimsical way (even if it is in my spare time)! You guys are awesome!

Now, if you want to know what I'm doing for my tenth 21st birthday, I will let you know I'm not doing a doggone thing...I'm going to rest, then volunteer and then hit the road for a relaxing weekend far, far away from Wichita, KS (okay, not too far...I'm just going up the road to KC, but it sounded nice). The Mrs. Carter Pre-Game Show...

Before I get into this post, I have to offer a little disclaimer. Blogger has been giving me the blues when it comes to uploading pictures. I've been trying to upload the photos for this post for what seems like a million and one years. It was orginally set to post on 02/13/13, but it didn't quite work out. Honestly, the plan still didn't work out because I was unable to get ALL of the photos from the spread loaded, but we'll just be thankful for what I was able to load, right? First, she did the spread for GQ (it was a little racy and according to my mama, who's also a Beyonce fan, 'It was in poor taste because she is somebody's mama now.'), then she shut down the Super Bowl (literally), then she announced the Mrs. Carter Tour coming to a city near you, this Saturday she'll be showing a more intimate side of herself with her self-produced documentary, Life Is But A Dream and then I just found out she will be on the March cover of Vogue looking as fabulous as ever (I think my mama will approve of this cover more than she did the GQ cover).

Anyway, take a peek at the eight page spread of Mrs. Carter that will be featured in Vogue this month.

Why Get Naked When You Can Get Nude...

I know the title of this post threw some of y'all for a loop...LOL! No, I'm not turning into some weirdo, perverted blogger...I just thought the title would be catching and kinda funny. Anyway, the purpose of this post is to give you makeup junkies an opportunity to save some money.

Everyone has been going gaga over the Naked and Naked II palettes by Urban Decay and rightfully so...it's a great product made by a great brand, BUT not everyone has a spare $50 plus dollars to spend OR if you're anything like me you're a frugalista and don't want to spend $50 when you can get a comparable product for half the price! Yes lovies, I said it...you can get an eyeshadow palette similar to the Naked Palette for half the price.

Our friends at NYX have the Nude palette and it is quite similar to the Urban Decay palette and HALF the price, $24.99?! Now I will let yall know I did not purchase the palette, but I plan on doing so and I'm certain I will be pleased. I'm an avid user of NYX products and I've yet to be disappointed. NYX products have great pigment and coverage and I'm certain y'all will love the product just as much as I do.

NYX products, including the Nude Palette, can be purchased at ULTA and some beauty supply stores carry NYX products.

Little Is The New BIG: Louis Vuitton Minis, Yea or Nay?

I love Louis Vuitton just as much as the next person, so I was excited to see some of the new items in the Spring collection. There was one item in the collection that made me say "Hmmmm..." and that was the Mini Collection. Yes, Louis Vuitton has a 'mini collection.' At first I thought having the mini collection was a great idea until I saw the price point of those mini handbags. Sure,  the price is significantly lower than the full size, but for some reason I have a hard time paying a small fortune ($1,400.00) for a small piece of purse when I could go full-size versions of the following items: a Louis Vuitton Speedy, a couple of Michael Kors bags, a couple pairs of Manolo Blahnik pumps(only if you got the most basic), 2 months rent, several months of payments to Sallie Mae ( I HATE her!), a few car payments, oh and a car (I mean it'd be a cash car, but it'd get you from point A to B with no problems!).

What I'm trying to say is I, Natalie Dianne Reed, will NOT be purchasing a Louis Vuitton Mini. I think I can find something better to do with my hard earned money. What's your take, lovies? Let me know!
