Busy As A Bee...

Hey Lovies!

Once again I've been MIA for quite some time...did y'all miss me?! You better say YES! Anyway, I've been as busy as a bee in the summer heat (depsite the fact it's freezing cold here)! In my absence I've been working on TONS of projects and I can't wait to give you all the full details of each one. I'd love to put it all out there, but I can't just yet. However, I can give y'all a sneek peak of some of my latest projects. As soon as I get permission and the rest of the images to share the good news I definitely will. In the mean time, enjoy the photos below. Annnndddd  I need y'all to prepare yourselves for some great fashion news, oh and my Annual Cleaning Out My Closet post. I have some great items that must go because I'm running out of room in my closet.

Ciao lovies and see ya at the TOP!

*Note: these pictures are NOT in chronological order of occurrence...that would've taken me FOREVER! These pics are also proof that I've been working very, VERY hard...LOL!*

A few months back, I was selected to be a RAW Artist.
I'll explain that opportunity in a later post. As soon as I receive
video footage and images you will have a better idea of how
cool it is to be a RAW Artist

Does It Work?

Hey Lovies! I was perusing (don't y'all just love that word? PERUSING) Facebook one more before I got out of bed to get ready for work and I came across a post about attaining beautiful hair. The post read a little something like this...

'Indian women are known for their beautiful hair. Hair oil massages are a big thing. Once per week apply coconut, olive, or almond oil to the hair, massage it in for five minutes, leave on for ten minutes and then shampoo.'

I haven't tried this, but it may be worth a shot especially since I'm rockin' my natural curls these days and I have a crazy hard time maintaining the moisture. I'll give it a whirl sometime this week or next week and let y'all know how it works out. If any of y'all give it a whirl, let me know what you think!

Throwback Thursday: Blue Magic

Hey Lovies! It's Throwback Thursday, AGAIN! I'm kinda starting to like these Thursday posts, because I'm finding so many cool things. This week's Throwback Thursday is dedicated to Blue Magic hair grease. Yup, I said it, BLUE MAGIC! Blue Magic was the 'glue' that held every little black girls hair together for at least one week. I remember my mom combing my hair on Sundays and telling me that this do better last me through at least Wednesday, do not let anyone touch my hair and I better not get sand in my hair from the playground or else I was gonna get a whoopin! I hated getting my hair combed, but the end product always made me happy! I guess I've always been a glamour puss! :)

Check out this great piece of art I found on a friend's FB page. I wish I knew the artist's name, because I'd love to give him or her credit for this AWESOME work...it brings back so many memories. Annnnnddd speaking of memories, check out a throwback pic of yours truly. That Blue Magic was REALLY holdin' my do together!

Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby...

*singing in my Brandy voice* 'Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby...don't you know that you're so finnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee..." Whoops! Sorry y'all, I was having a moment...you'll have to excuse me! So umm yeah, today is another day, time for a new discovery...YES! Today's discovery is baby powder!

Who woulda thunk baby powder could be used for so many things?! Baby powder can do wayyy more than keep babies butts fresh and dry...Baby powder can be used to do the following:

1. Protect your faux glow.

Sprinkle a bit onto sweat prone areas to avoid streaks in bronzer.

2. To remove hairs that stick to skin after a haircut.

Dust powder onto your neck and chest to lift strays.

3. As a pre-shave protectant.

Apply to dry legs before you shower. The silky texture helps the razor glide.

4. Use as a dry shampoo.

Fluff some into the roots of greasy, unwashed hair to stop oil.

5. To prevent blisters.

Coat your heels or shake some into your shoes to soak up sweat (less moisture means less friction).

Try these tips out and let me know how they work out for you!

Ciao lovies and see you at the TOP!

Pretty Girls Rock J's Too...

Quite frequently I have to remind people to not let the make-up, wigs, weaves, accessories, sky-high heels, and handbags fool you. I can talk to you about any sport, any current event and I can even take you to the hole on the basketball court...If I can do all those things, what wouldn't make you think I can't rock J's with the best of em?! The pic below is not of me in some J's...it's just some random girl I found on the internet who happens to be able to rock a pair of J's and sky high heels. I LOVE it,  this pic is sooooooo me!

Our Favorite Pitbull In A Skirt: Eve

I've been a lover of Eve, Ruff Ryder's First Lady, The Pitbull In A Skirt, ever since she first hit the scene. I haven't always been a lover of her style (especially not when she first came out), but as she got BIGGER, she became more polished and refined and I LOVED her even more. Well, now she's back and I'm excited...she's back with a new look. It's very, ummm...Diana Ross, which screams DIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA to the max. I'm loving the new look...what do y'all think?

Ciao and see ya at the TOP, lovies!
xoxo

Love the hair, but not sure what she's posing on...is that one of those little cat houses from TJ Maxx?
And is that a wig on the back of her couch?! Oh Eve...you are so REAL! LOVE IT!
