Hey Lovies! Good news, The First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS), Commander-in-Chic, Pearlie's Fashion Passion's favorite fashionista, Michelle Obama has joined Twitter as @MichelleObama. Mrs. Obama joined Twitter today! So far she has only tweeted two things. The first tweet read, “We’re excited today to launch @michelleobama as a new way for you to connect with First Lady Michelle Obama and the President’s campaign.” And the second tweet tells us to look out for the “-mo” signature to differentiate the first lady’s messages from the campaign staff’s.

In two hours, Mrs. Obama has already gathered more than 28,500 followers (I’m quite proud to say I’m a follower of the FLOTUS). As of right now, she’s only following five accounts: her husband, President Barack Obama (@Barack Obama, 11.8 million followers), the White House (@whitehouse, 2.6 million followers), Jim Messina, Obama 2012 Campaign Manager (@Messina2012, 8,348 followers), Let’s Move (@letsmove, 19, 293 followers), and Joining Forces (@JoiningForces, 9,633 followers).

While Twitter is a new move for the FLOTUS, she’s no stranger to social media. She is on Facebook and has about 6.3 million subscribers. This is an exciting move for the FLOTUS and the 2012 campaign. I’m sure looking forward to some great tweets from the FLOTUS and the White House staff.

I wonder what it’d take to get the FLOTUS to follow Pearlie's Fashion Passion and RT @PBLB08? I’ll tell you this much, I’m going to try my hardest!
