Ahhhh...The Make-Up Show...

Hmmm...where should I begin? I guess I'll start with a few adjectives to describe my experience at The Make-Up Show...overwhelming, enlightening, empowering, informative, FABULOUS, GREAT, SPLENDID, MAGNIFICENT, AMAZING, OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD...I guess it's fair to say I'm GEEKED, EXCITED, EMPOWERED and ready to GET IT! If you're an aspiring ANYTHING, I encourage you to go to events where you can meet people who are interested in what you have to offer. If you're a hairstylist, go to hair shows, if you are into arts and crafts, go to arts and craft conventions...a blogger, go to blogger events...whatever your passion is JUMP all the way in and get exposed...network...do whatever you have to do that is legally, morally and ethically correct to get to where you want to go.

My experience at The Make-Up Show in Chicago was AMAZING! I met so many wonderful professional artists, freelance artists, and newbies galore. This event was by far one of the most amazing events I've ever attended, because I got to meet and see people who were interested and oh-so passionate about the one thing I LOVE, make-up!

At the show I had the opportunity to meet self-help author, educator, motivational speaker and advisor to freelance styling professionals, Crystal Wright; Oprah Winfrey's Make-Up Artist, Reggie Wells (have a great story to tell on that meeting...LOL!), uber-talented Make-Up Artist Sam Fine (my absolute fave), red carpet walkin, face beatin, tell it like it is Make-Up Artist Joanna Schlip; amazingly talented Mehron artist and creator of the Paradise Collection for Mehron Make-Up Artist Ginny Houle and a host of other amazing awesome people that I will be featuring on the blog over the next few weeks.

Words can't describe how AWESOME my day was at The Make-Up Show in Chicago...it's just one of those things you have to BE THERE to really understand where I'm coming from. Below, I've posted some pics to give you a taste of what you missed!

I can't wait to share some of the tips I learned over the next few weeks...you'll be amazed by all the things you can do with what you have at home and you don't even have to be a pro to do it!

Enjoy the pics, lovelies...

Ciao!
