For my top heavy fashionistas, it's sometimes difficult to find pieces that look great and feel great. It can be frustrating, but put all of your frustrations aside...I'm here to help you find things that will help you look and feel like the diva/fashionista you really are.
Top heavy diva/fashionistas should stick to cardigans and jackets that hit right at the hip and skim the figure vs. pieces that cut in at the waist. Wearing pieces that skim the body create the illusion of a more balanced figure. V-neck, scoop, warp and sweet heart necklines look great on top heavy diva/fashionistas.
If you're a top heavy diva/fashionista you should avoid blazers and jackets with breast pockets like the plague. Wearing such pieces draw more attention to the bust area. Avoid tops that have high necklines. The high neckline will make the bust area appear E-X-P-A-N-D-E-D.
For your bottom pieces, top heavy diva/fashionistas should stick to A-Line skirts, flared pants. Bottom pieces that have volume will balance the figure out as well. Flat front pants are a definite
YES as are low rise skirts with pleats and gathers. When wearing skirts, the most flattering style would be skirts that hit above the knee and don't forget to put on some rockin pumps!
If you're still unsure of whether or not you're a top heavy diva/fashionista, here are some characteristics:
- Broad Shoulders
- Large Bust (Duh?! Hence the name, 'TOP HEAVY')
- Narrow Hips
- Less Defined Waist
